Principal’s Message

DOON International is established with a humble vision of imparting education to local youths. In the course of fulfilling that vision, the school made remarkable achievements and emerged as one of the premier institutions in the valley. We owe achievements to the guidance of the enlightened Management, hard work of committed faculty and administrative staff and the active participation of students.
I am indebted to the worthy chairman for passing on the baton of leading an excellent institution to my hands. I have a great challenge of taking an excellent Institution to new heights. This challenge is compounded further by the vast changes in the external world. Now the Institutions, relations and values are no more certain, fixed and stable. They are uncertain, flux and fluid. Negotiating an ever-changing world is a challenge. In this changed context we cannot confine our goal to create employable youths. Skills equip the individuals to earn their livelihood but values prepare them to face their inner struggles.

Inner conflicts fought over right versus wrong, positive versus negative and justice versus injustice. Education should enable an individual to stand with the right, positive and justice irrespective of the consequences of such decisions. Hence, we need to move further and create leaders, visionaries, social and cultural entrepreneurs and poets who can actively participate in the formation of new India. I hope and wish we - the Management, the staff and the students together - can achieve this goal.
